Caravans, Campervans & Motorhomes

  • Whilst we are happy to accommodate caravans, camper vans and motorhomes to our site, we do only allow a few each weekend.

  • There are no electric hook ups available and there are no specific waste emptying points. All waste must be taken away with you.

  • Caravans, campers and motorhomes are always to be kept in the car park on site and only in very exceptional circumstances do we allow them on the main site remaining on the track at all times.

  • If you do want to bring your home on wheels please make the booking secretary aware of this when you make your booking .

  • Please also check in with the warden team on site when you arrive and tell them about your accommodation.

Electric Vehicles

  • There are currently NO electric vehicle charging points on site

  • You must not charge Electric Vehicles from our buildings.

  • The nearest charging point is at the Field Head Hotel in Markfield.

Parking and driving to the Camping Pitches/Buildings

  • There is a large car park to accommodate cars, minibuses and coaches (although advance notice is required for coaches).

  • All vehicles must be parked in the car park on arrival until you have checked in with the Duty Wardens. Do Not just let yourselves beyond the main car park barrier.

  • Parents must park in the main car park and walk to the camping pitch/building.

  • Leaders with only personal kit must park in the main car park and walk to the camping pitch/building.

  • Vehicles carrying heavy tents and food etc. may go up the drive, with the duty warden’s permission, to unload but must stay on the main driveway at all times and then be returned to the car park within 1 hour. Vehicles will not be allowed back up the driveway until you are ready to pack up to leave the site.

  • Vehicles are not allowed on any camping pitches or grass areas and must stay on the gravel driveways at all times.

  • Any damage caused by taking your vehicle off of the main track will be charged for.

  • For the safety of our campers, volunteers and wildlife and to avoid damage to the track, please observe the 10 mph speed limit.

  • It is a requirement that drivers going on site put their hazard lights on or an A.R.B as they go down the track.

  • If the speed limit is not observed vehicles will not be permitted back to the cabin and camping areas for loading or unloading.

  • Groups who do need to take their vehicles onto site must speak to the Duty Warden first, you must not open the barrier and drive down the main track without first informing the Duty Warden, this includes when you want to load kit to leave. This is for everyone’s safety.
